Are you letting the Lord lead? Earlier this week I was reading James 4 in Bible study, and verses 13-17 really stuck out to me. It seemed so relevant to current circumstances, and I made note of this season next to the passage in my Bible.
Are you a planner? So often in life we like to make our own plans, and sometimes—if we’re lucky—things go according to plan. But of course, things don’t always go according to our plans, especially in the midst of a pandemic.
Thankfully, God’s word reminds us that no matter what, the will of the Lord will always be done. We ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” It may be disappointing—devastating,
In this world we will face hardship, disappointment, and sorrow. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, or what the next day will bring. What we do know is that Christ has given the ultimate sacrifice for us because He loves us. Because of this, we can live in hope of the future and the joy that is to come.
Let’s pray together: Lord, thank you for leading us through every moment of our lives. Please help us to stay humble and to trust in the plans You have in store for us. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but we know You will be present. Thank you for loving us. Help us to share Your love with the people around us. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
