We look forward to meeting you!
At Bethany Lutheran, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to either our 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. service.
No matter what your background is, we hope you'll join us or reach out to contact us. Here at Bethany, we are all sinners seeking truth and grace. Whether you're a lifelong believer or new to the faith, we want to walk alongside you and be part of your journey to Christ.
Bethany is located at
2202 Forest Dr. SE,
between Washington High School
and Cottage Grove Place.
When you enter through the front doors...
you will see our sanctuary to the left. Find one of our ushers or elders and introduce yourself. They're stationed at the entrance of the sanctuary, and they will be happy to meet you and answer your questions.
When you attend service, please fill out a guest card from the pews and place it in the offering plate.
What To Expect
Both services incorporate scripture readings, a message, prayers, and creeds. You'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding.
Communion is served on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please meet with an elder or Pastor Erickson if you would like to take communion.
8:30 Traditional Service
In our traditional service, we follow liturgy and sing hymns from the Lutheran Service Book. We sing to the organ, and special music is provided by handbells, vocal choir, or instrumentalists.
11:00 Contemporary Service
In our contemporary service, we still incorporate all the elements of a traditional service, but in a more modern format. We sing contemporary songs led by a praise band.
Children's Ministry

Sunday School is offered for middle school and high school at 9:45 a.m. Confirmation instruction is offered on Wednesday evenings for students in 7th and 8th grade. High school students meet for youth group on Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
